2013 SPHPM Excellence Award Winners

Congratulations to the winners of the 2013 SPHPM Excellence Awards!

The winners were:

Best Paper, Early Career Researcher: Ms Angela Rintoul for her publication “Recent increase in detection of alprazolam in Victorian heroin-related deaths”, which appeared in the Medical Journal of Australia 2013, Volume 198 Issue 4; (Impact Factor 2.81), and

Mr Luke Rodda for his publication “The rapid identification and quantification of iso-a-acids and reduced iso-a-acids in blood using UHPLC-MS/MS: validation of a novel marker for beer consumption” which was published in the Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry 2013 on the second of October 2013; (impact factor 3.7)

Best Paper – Mid Career Researcher: A/Prof Karin Leder for her paper “GeoSentinel Surveillance of Illness in Returned Travelers, 2007–2011” which was published in the Annals of Internal Medicine in 2013, volume 158 issue 6 (impact factor13.976).

ECR Excellence Award: Dr Janet Bray

MCR Excellence Award: A/Prof Peter Smith

HDR Supervision: Prof Olaf Drummer Olaf
Tutoring Excellence: Ms Penny Robinson 

Teaching Excellence: Ms Basia Diug.

Research & Teaching Support: Ms Sharon Gurry
