Congratulations to first round recipients of the SPHPM travel grants!

Congratulations to Dr Katherine Gibney, Dr Judy Lowthian, Dr Yuanyuan Wang and Dr Carolina Weller for receiving SPHPM travel grants in the first round.

Dr Katherine Gibney will be attending the 24th European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ECCMID) in Barcelona, where she will present her results from her work in quantifying the burden of gastrointestinal disease in Australia.

Dr Judy Lowthian is going to be attending the International Conference for Emergency Medicine (ICEM) in Hong Kong, and she is going to be presenting her work from her post doctoral research in acute emergency care for older patients.

Dr Yuanyuan Wang will be travelling to Paris to attend the Osteoarthritis Research Society International (OARSI) World Congress on Osteoarthritis. Dr Wang has been invited to present her abstracts as poster presentations on her research in Osteoarthritis.

Dr Carolina Weller will be attending the EWMA conference in Madrid. The EWMA conference reflects both the technological and also the organisational need for high quality services with the limited resources available in wound care. Its focus is on health care systems throughout Europe and the challenges of aging populations, more people living with chronic conditions and therefore a growing demand for optimising wound care with the help of innovative procedures and practise.

Best wishes to all the recipients!
