Transfusion support in the critically ill - seminar registrations open

The Transfusion Outcomes Research Collaborative (TORC) is offering its 6th Annual Seminar on Friday 19th September in the AMREP Lecture Theatre at the Alfred Hospital. The seminar will explore transfusion support in the critical care setting and outline the latest research that will guide future practice.

It will cover a range of topics from coagulopathy and bleeding, the role of granulocyte and platelet transfusions, the age of blood and transfusion outcomes, the role of point-of-care testing in guiding transfusion support, and ethical issues in transfusion in critical care. This will be a valuable educational experience and an excellent opportunity to meet colleagues from diverse professional backgrounds interested in this area.
