SPHPM researchers awarded NHMRC research fellowships

On 29 August 2014, the Minister for Health, the Hon Peter Dutton MP, announced funding for 74 new Research Fellowships and 28 current fellowship extensions ($58.5 million), 17 new Practitioner Fellowships ($8.0 million) and four Targeted Calls for Indigenous Youth Suicide research grants ($.5 million).

SPHPM's Associate Professor Sophia Zoungas and Professor Rachelle Buchbinder have both been successful in securing their research fellowships with NHMRC for 2015.

Research Fellowships support Australia’s very best medical and health research talent in full-time research during the most productive years of their research life to further develop as leaders in their field and contribute to the Australian research community through active participation.

Congratulations!
