PhD Scholar Ralph Tramm wins three awards in one week

It was a very rewarding few days for the School's PhD Scholar Ralph Tramm last week, who won three different awards for his research within the period of seven days.

Ralph won $1500 for Best Nursing Poster at the ANZICS/ACCCN Intensive Care Annual Scientific Meeting 2014 Melbourne, for his poster entitled "IDENTIFICATION AND PREVALENCE OF PTSD RISK FACTORS IN ECMO PATIENTS: A SINGLE CENTRE STUDY".

He then won $500 towards the ACCCN National Education Fund to attend the National Nursing Forum 2014 in Adelaide, as well as $800 for The Maylean Jessie Cordia Memorial Scholarship Australian College of Nursing (ACN), to attend Euro-ELSO, Regensburg, 2015, 

Ralph joined the ANZIC-RC team in 2012. He is a PhD Scholar investigating short and longer term health related outcomes in patients receiving extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) under the supervision of Dr Carol Hodgson and Dr Dragan Ilic. He has a critical care background and more recently worked as a Research Associate after completing a Master of Applied Science (Research) program with Queensland University of Technology.
