Medibank 2015 Health Research Grants: Funding announced for two SPHPM Projects

Medibank has announced the recipients of the 2015 Health Research Grants, with SPHPM securing two of the eight funding grants.

The SPHPM recipients are:

Professor Flavia Cicuttini
Flavia's two-year long project is exploring the various factors which can predict positive outcomes and optimise quality of life for Australians who go through hip and knee joint replacement surgery.

Professor John McNeil & Professor Just Stoelwinder
The three-year project headed by Professors McNeil and Stoelwinder will focus on the improvement of hospital-based care experience measurement strategies to better the quality of care for patients in clinical settings.

We congratulate the three professors on this tremendous achievement and we look forward to learning more about these projects and their outcomes.

The Medibank Health Research Grants have a total investment of $750,000 and are focused on developing new avenues and strategies to tackle current health issues within Australia. The article discussing all eight projects is available to read here.
