Upcoming SPHPM Seminars

SPHPM routinely hosts special seminars with guest speakers from a diverse range of fields and backgrounds. Below is a list of the upcoming SPHPM seminars for the next month. We strongly encourage staff and students to attend these seminars and have the opportunity to hear from experts in the field.

Partnering for Research Success

For over 50 years, HRF has been partnering with academia, governments and businesses to undertake quality health, social and economic research that helps improve the health, wealth and happiness of Australians. Hunter Research is renowned for its research rigour. Using a selection of exemplars, selected from hundreds of worthwhile and interesting research projects, Shanthi’s presentation will share insights and highlight HRF’s unique brand of research services which distinguishes it from other purely market research companies. There will be opportunity for questions and a group discussion following the presentation. Please join us.

A/Prof Belinda Lloyd – Associate Professor of Addiction Studies, Monash University and Head of Research and Workforce Development, Turning Point

WEDNESDAY MAY 20
Prof Cecile Svanes – Centre for International Health at the University of Bergen
When + Where: 2-3pm, The Alfred Centre

Prof Svanes is a specialist in pulmonary and in internal medicine, and works as a consultant in occupational respiratory diseases at the Dept Occupational Medicine, Haukeland University Hospital. She is building a facility for occupational specific inhalation challenges.
